Château Roc de Bernon -
Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion

The vineyards of Roc de Bernon are primarily located on the highest clay-limestone plateau in Puisseguin, and are ideally situated to catch the sun's rays. Vineyard soil is quite homogeneous and careful winemaking produces a wine that is famous for its finesse and quite representative of the appellation.
This wine is a beautiful deep garnet-red colour that is wonderfully clear and brilliant. The nose is both intense and delicate, quite fruity and floral (irises). There are also enticing vanilla and spice aromas when the wine is swirled around the glass.

The wine starts out in an attractive and straightforward way on the palate and is well-structured. The balance is under-pinned by a marked fruitiness. The aftertaste is fairly long, with good soft tannin.
