The estate was founded in 1921 by the Bernard family, and has remained in the family since, passing from one generation to the next. The vines are located in the communes of Gaillan and Ordonnac on the 45th parallel with south-west facing vines. The average age of the vines is 30 years.
A careful blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot has produced a wonderfully balanced and smooth wine. This blend gives round, soft Médoc wines with great ageing potential. The wine was fermented in stainless steel vats and then aged in oak barrels for 12 months.
The wine has a nice deep red garnet colour. The nose shows light notes of oak with fine aromas of blackberries, strawberries and spice. This wine is well crafted, round and fruity with a long aftertaste.
