Château Deyrem Valentin - Margaux

This Bourgeois growth commands a vineyard situated in Marsac, in the heart of the Margaux appellation. Its immediate neighbourhood speaks volumes for its quality because it is surrounded by Château Lascombes, Malescot-Saint-Exupéry, the two Labégorces, La Tour de Mons...
The ancestor of the present owners, Mr. Maurice Blanc, bought this little estate in 1928 at a court-auction. "Deyrem Valentin" is the patronym of the first proprietor who represented the commune of Soussans at the council of the Margaux Canton during the First Republic.

During the harvesting, the grapes are sorted twice, once during picking and again on a sorting table before going into vats.

Mr. Sorge has owned and managed this property since 1972. The whole of the production is aged in barrel and bottled at the château.
